This 35 minute session will use video clips to illustrate Preparation for Surgery (ER) and Preparing to be a Surgeon using simulation (DB). We will examine Good and Bad examples of pre-op huddles, and then illustrate a laparoscopic emergency handled poorly and then relatively well!

Doug Barclay is a UK-trained O&G SMO who works at Middlemore Hospital and Ascot Central Women's Clinic. He is passionate about education. He has been running PROMPT multidisciplinary obstetric emergency simulations for 14 years. He also is responsible for 5 Laparoscopic Simulation training courses a year, including live operating, for all NZ RANZCOG trainees. He is on the RANZCOG Simulation Training Advisory Group.
